Al-Ahsa Municipality’s work continues on the project to develop and raise the efficiency of the Airport Road (one of the roads recently received from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics) in terms of services. The Secretariat's Projects Agency revealed that the road development project includes the implementation of (asphalting works, construction of pedestrian sidewalks, traffic safety means, land markings, and directional signs, lighting, landscaping, and bicycle paths), explaining that the road is one of the most important vital roads as it is through it to reach the airport. Al-Ahsa International Airport, in addition to its connection to a number of other vital roads in the city of Hofuf. The municipality stressed that the implementation of the project comes as an extension of the ongoing efforts towards achieving the goals of the Quality of Life and Humanization of Cities program in society by enhancing municipal services, especially urban roads, which is one of the strategic goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
