Al-Ahsa Municipality has begun implementing the first phase of the project to raise the efficiency and develop the Al-Uqair Tourist Road, with the aim of enhancing the level of safety and smooth flow of traffic on the road extending from the intersection of King Abdullah Road “Eastern Side” with a length of 2 kilometers. The project agency in the municipality explained that the project includes (asphalt works, construction of sidewalks, traffic safety means, lighting, planting and landscaping), while the implementation of this phase of the King Abdullah Ring Road development project comes in accordance with what was monitored by the secretariat in cooperation with the Al-Ahsa Traffic Department through a study. Some intersections and traffic congestion points, coinciding with the municipality’s efforts to enable quality of life in communities by enhancing municipal services, especially urban roads, which is one of the strategic goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
