In support of community development participation and to achieve organizational support for street vendors in Al-Ahsa, and in line with the objectives of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, the Al-Ahsa Municipality signed a partnership and cooperation agreement with the Malath Charity for Housing. The agreement aims to facilitate cooperation between the two parties in several areas, including (the charity's commitment to establishing 4 farmers' markets for selling local agricultural products to support the application of regulations and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing regarding the organization of street vendors. Both parties support improving the structure of markets and organizing spaces to increase efficiency and attractiveness while adding modern facilities, coordinating to meet vendors' requirements by providing organized display areas, parking spaces, and integrated service facilities, collaborating to provide suitable spaces for displaying products and logistical services to facilitate sales operations, and contributing to enhancing environmental sustainability by reducing pollution and improving the overall environment through the use of eco-friendly technologies). Additionally, the partnership agreement also includes (collaboration between the two parties to find integrated and innovative models and solutions in the field of developmental housing to achieve the objectives of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, enhancing the concept of housing volunteerism and investing in its applications, and cooperating to engage residents in community activities and oversee their implementation). The municipality emphasized that signing the agreement aligns with the goals aimed at strengthening community partnership between the government sector and the non-profit sector, and contributing to driving the wheel of development and service improvement, building on a journey of construction, development, and comprehensive progress, to achieve integrated objectives in service of the community and humanity.
