The Undersecretary of the Al-Ahsa Municipality for Construction, Eng. Hisham Al-Marjan, explained that the first half of the current year 2024 witnessed the completion of the agency’s committees’ work to (process 71 requests through the Committee for Estimating Regulatory and Planning Excesses, restore 34 sites with an area of 335 thousand m2 by the Committee for Removing Encroachments on Government Lands, and approve 43 recommendations by the Planning and Major Projects Committee), adding that the procedures were taken to expropriate the properties obstructing the paths of developing and upgrading the roads for the benefit of projects (King Abdullah Road Tunnel Project “Western Side” with Riyadh Road, completing the extension of King Abdullah Road “Northern Side” to the cities of Hofuf and Mubarraz, completing the continuation of the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Road Project with Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Road “Phase 2”, implementing and disbursing compensation for the historic center of Hofuf project). Al-Marjan added: The same period also witnessed (issuing 577 licenses to build residential projects, issuing 68 commercial licenses, completing the procedure for 935 requests to merge and sort land plots, allocating about 50 lands to government sectors with various areas, issuing survey decisions for requests to "modify/update" data for 1472 deeds, approving 6 plans including "195 residential plots, 23 service facilities, 17 commercial plots"), in addition to what was provided from municipal services to 873 clients of the agency, in addition to completing the procedures to allocate investment opportunities that included 10 plots of land with an area of 75430 m2. Al-Marjan stressed that these efforts come in line with achieving the visions and aspirations of the Al-Ahsa Municipality in line with the National Transformation Program to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and providing advanced municipal services in light of the unlimited support from our wise leadership - may God support it - for all sectors, including the municipal sector, in order to achieve service targets and support the Quality of Life Program.
