The Al-Ahsa Municipality, represented by the General Administration of Investments and Revenue Development, has offered 21 investment opportunities, as part of the investment opportunities for the fourth quarter of the current year 2024, through the Saudi Cities Investment Portal "Opportunities".
The municipality explained that the opportunities offered are in various fields (commercial, industrial, entertainment, service), including an opportunity to operate and maintain the Sunday market in Al-Qara on an area of 14,000 m2, and another investment opportunity to establish, operate and maintain a vehicle damage assessment center with an area of 30,000 m2 in the industrial zone.
The municipality noted that offering investment opportunities comes to support the investment system, develop revenues and enhance the elements of quality of life in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and involve the private sector in developing the municipal investment sector and achieving the concepts of sustainability in it. The procedural mechanisms for offering investment opportunities will achieve the goals of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing in facilitating investors and interested parties to view all announced opportunities on a unified platform, which contributes to raising the base of competitors and positively reflects on the development of cities.
The development project of the Sunday Market in Al-Qarah included (the establishment of shaded walkways, a 3400 square meter square for events and occasions, canopies for vendors and a plant cover), in addition to allocating a pedestrian path alongside the market, sites for food carts, sites for productive families, and preparing the market site to serve people with disabilities. The Al-Ahsa Municipality aims, within its development plans, to reformulate the "weekly" popular markets, and organize them in an optimal manner while preserving their popular and heritage identity, and to address the situation of street vendors in the city according to 11 targets, and to organize the markets according to the latest standards of popular and heritage character and urban harmony. The development of these markets also aims to stimulate investment in them, achieve the principle of sustainability, and provide a suitable environment for shoppers and visitors.
