Al-Amana team sweeps HRSD by nine in the inaugural tournament of His Highness the Governor’s Cup

The Al-Ahsa Municipality team defeated its counterpart, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development branch team, with 9 goals to none, in the match that was held in the opening round of the first His Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa Football Championship, which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr on the 8th of October and will continue. For a month, with the participation of 20 teams from government sectors in the governorate, and its activities are held at King Abdullah Environmental Park. The round also witnessed the victory of the General Organization for Irrigation team over the Civil Defense team with three clean goals. It is noteworthy that the championship teams were distributed into 4 groups, according to specific organizational mechanisms for holding matches between the participating teams to win the championship title and obtain the allocated prizes, in addition to the participation of accredited arbitration teams to manage the matches in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports office in Al-Ahsa, as well as the presence of specialized committees based on organizing the championship as “Disciplinary, Support and Assistance Committee.” Al-Ahsa Municipality emphasized that organizing the tournament stems from the objectives aimed at strengthening the complementary roles of government sectors, in order to achieve the quality of life program.
