Al-Ahsa Municipality, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, is implementing a project to develop and raise the efficiency of the intersection of Riyadh Road with Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Road, one of the roads recently received from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services. The Municipality’s Undersecretary for Projects, M. Hisham Al-Awfi said that the development project for the intersection includes (expanding and developing the bridge in the intersection’s path, creating exit paths for the roads, asphalt works, constructing pedestrian sidewalks, installing traffic safety means, land markings, directional signs, lighting, and landscaping), explaining that the intersection is considered one of the most important vital intersections as it is Access link to Al-Ahsa International Airport, in addition to its connection to a number of other arterial roads in the city of Hofuf.
