Today, Tuesday, October 15, the events accompanying the Al-Ahsa Dates Auction Season 2024 will start in the Wednesday Popular Market, as it is one of the old markets and represents a popular and social value that extends for more than 50 years. The events will continue until the twenty-sixth of the same month. The events accompanying the season include activating multiple corners and wings (Children's Oasis, Oasis Exhibition, heritage singing panels, storyteller event, farmer's life, handicraft outlets, folklore shows, Basta art shows, workshops, musical performances, Saudi coffee corner). It is noteworthy that the Al-Ahsa Date Harvest Season 2024 is held in strategic partnership with Al-Ahsa Governorate, Al-Ahsa Development Authority, and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, represented by the National Center for Palms and Dates, through the “Our Dates Seasons” initiative, amidst service and supervisory organization by Al-Ahsa Municipality, and an integrated partnership between the relevant government sectors. The season aims to highlight and expand the scope of the dates market, attract more purchasing power to the auction, and better organize the sales mechanism, in addition to encouraging the dates production and manufacturing sector to play its role in enhancing the exchange of experiences and strengthening ties between farmers, producers and manufacturers of dates, based on what the Al-Ahsa Dates Season represents as a fundamental pillar that contributes to highlighting the marketing and cultural dimensions associated with date production in the governorate, in addition to the positives it will achieve to contribute to the economy of the region and the Kingdom in general.
