Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Bader - Governor of Al-Ahsa - Al-Ahsa Municipality launches its Ramadan competitions in the period 5-19 days of the holy month, which include the “Wartel” competition for the Holy Qur’an, for which prizes of about 50 thousand riyals are allocated, and the “Bilal” competition for the most beautiful voice. In performing the call to prayer, and the Ramadan Municipality Football Championship with the participation of 24 neighborhood teams in the city.
The mayor of Al-Ahsa, M. Issam Al-Mulla stressed that organizing Ramadan activities and competitions comes from the objectives of the secretariat in an effort to strengthen its societal role in this holy season, and based on the objectives of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing to achieve the quality of life program.
Engineer Al-Mulla pointed out that the Holy Qur’an Competition “Wartal” aims to encourage members of society and connect them to the Book of God Almighty and to highlight the capabilities and mastery of memorizing the Qur’an, in addition to preparing proficient memorizers to participate in local and international competitions.
He added: The youth activist residency also contributes to the participation of young people in community activities and exploiting seasonal periods by using their talents in an entertainment framework and investing their time in a way that benefits them in this blessed month.
