Al-Ahsa Municipality’s work continues to address subsidence around the covers of service manholes and rainwater drainage traps, through the use of EPM technology that conforms to the specifications, in order to preserve the safety of vehicles while driving on the roads.
The secretariat explained that this step (using backfill materials (EPM) as an alternative to traditional materials) comes in light of the efforts aimed at improving the quality of implementation in accordance with the standards and specifications used in treating subsidences around rainwater drainage holes as well as service room covers.
It is noteworthy that backfill materials (EPM) are low-resistance fillers that are characterized by their ability to penetrate and flow into any mold of the excavation. They are characterized by the ease of casting work, reducing and saving time and the number of workers and equipment in backfilling works using traditional methods. They also provide a safe working environment and reduce the level of noise resulting from Carrying out backfilling works in the traditional way, in addition to the ability to re-excavate using simple manual or mechanical methods for maintenance work for later services.
