Al-Ahsa Municipality sorted and recycled 9,723 tons of solid waste, which included (3,786 tons of organic materials, 544 tons of paper and cardboard, 87 tons of plastic, 97 tons of metals, 1,822 tons of vehicle tires), in addition to 3,384 tons of various solid materials, during “ Last March, according to what was explained by the official spokesman for the secretariat, Khalid bin Muhammad Boushal, who stated that the same month also witnessed the lifting and transfer of 94,487 tons of “construction waste, green waste, and large-sized waste” to the engineering environmental modem, stressing the continuity of the secretariat’s efforts in Strengthening plans and programs to address visual distortion, improve the urban landscape in residential neighborhoods, and preserve the environment in accordance with the objectives of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, by organizing and supervising all activities related to waste, and supporting social responsibility among individuals to achieve sustainable development.
