Coinciding with World Children's Day, and in support of the efforts of Al-Ahsa Municipality and its plans to contribute to Al-Ahsa being child-friendly within the Child-Friendly Cities Initiative of the United Nations Fund (UNICEF), Al-Hofuf Municipality, represented by the Change Management Department, established the (Mahja) initiative aimed at enhancing awareness and education about human rights. Children in society and protecting these rights, based on the directions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in strengthening family ties
The initiative targeted children of employees and children enrolled in kindergarten within the city of Hofuf, and through it a number of pillars and activities were activated with the participation of bodies specialized in teaching and developing children’s skills.
Supervisor of Change Management in the Municipality of Al-Hofuf, Marwa Al-Mansour, indicated that the initiative focused, within its general framework, on contributing to strengthening interdependence, raising awareness among children, introducing their rights, and improving their well-being, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its interest in children by providing a safe and sound environment that enables them to develop their abilities and skills, pointing out that The initiative also contributed to bringing together the child and the educator in the work environment and strengthening the values of interdependence in a family atmosphere for those who are the “joy” of life.
