The official spokesman for Al-Ahsa Municipality, Khalid bin Muhammad Boushal, revealed that the municipality, represented by the General Administration of Digital Transformation, intends to launch 4 digital services during the current year 2024, which are (the digital system for inventorying and managing the secretariat’s assets, which contributes to inventorying all the secretariat’s properties, as well as facilitating the procedures for issuing deeds on owned lands. It has a system for supervising parks and gardens, a unified central system for approved plans, and a service for purchasing copies of approved plans.
Bushell noted that the development plans to enhance the efficiency and reliability of procedures for municipal services and to achieve the highest benefit from interactive technical channels and means resulted in the secretariat recently activating in cooperation with the electronic network for rental services “Ejar” the electronic link for investment contract rents as a contribution to raising reliability rates and accelerating the rent collection process, adding Steps are underway to activate the electronic payment service for service fees through the National Center for Government Resource Systems in cooperation with the Digital Government Authority, so that it allows the customer to complete the process of paying his service fees through bank payment methods.
While the Director of the General Department of Digital Transformation, Eng. Muhammad Al-Faqiri, explained that the last quarter of the year 2023 witnessed, through the “Baladi platform,” the implementation of (1,887 applications for commercial licenses, 4,242 applications for construction licenses, 8,237 applications for infrastructure coordination licenses, 8,654 applications for health certificates, and the issuance of 275 licenses for stores.) Mobile, 14 applications to develop group housing for individuals, issuing 26,567 licenses via the “Motamili” platform, in addition to receiving 205 competing applications for investment opportunities.
