Al-Ahsa Municipality has provided the application service for issuing electronic permits for slaughtering sacrificial animals in private kitchens and restaurants via the “Baladi” platform for a period of 4 days from the blessed Eid Al-Adha (Dhu al-Hijjah 10-13/June 28-July 1) in accordance with specific municipal requirements, and application for the service will be available. Until 9 Dhu al-Hijjah (June 27, 2023).
The secretariat explained that the service comes in coordination with the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Ahsa, and aims to (provide multiple options for residents to slaughter sacrifices, reduce congestion by distributing slaughter sites, enhance the participation of the private sector in providing services during the slaughter days on Eid Al-Adha, and raise the level of quality of services. and achieving beneficiary satisfaction)
The secretariat indicated that the permit for the service requires adherence to the requirements, which include (presenting a qualified veterinarian’s certificate to examine slaughtered animals before and after slaughter during the days of Eid al-Adha, having health certificates for all workers, having a valid kitchen or restaurant license, allocating a suitable location that meets the health requirements for slaughtering livestock. It has all the necessary equipment to complete the slaughtering and skinning operations and is connected to a special drainage network to dispose of liquid waste. Contracting with one of the companies approved by the secretariat to remove the waste and providing waste containers designated for slaughtering and waste disposal waste in a location outside the kitchen. Ensuring constant cleanliness and commitment to organizing the slaughter. Avoid overcrowding of slaughtered animals, provide a numbering service, and install a prominent sign displaying the slaughter price.
