A campaign to address the situation of workshops, showrooms, spare parts shops, oil and tire changes, which was launched under the supervision of the Al-Ahsa Municipality and the participation of 6 concerned sectors (Provincial Police, Traffic Department, Civil Defense, Ministry of Commerce Branch, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Branch, Zakat, Tax and Income Authority Branch), Closing 45 facilities, monitoring 95 violations, and applying penalties against violators.
The municipality stressed that the campaign is part of the objectives aimed at addressing visual distortion, maintaining public cleanliness, raising compliance rates and adhering to activity licenses, raising the level of quality of services provided, in addition to achieving safety and municipal requirements, preventing accidents in the work environment, combating commercial concealment and violations of the work system, and reducing The spread of illegal and irregular labor, indicating that the campaign targets more than 1,000 establishments within 57 roads and locations across the governorate.
In addition, the secretariat revealed the continuation of the campaign to address the situation of heavy equipment, through which 450 trucks and vehicles were monitored within the joint campaign of the relevant government sectors under its supervision and membership of the “Ministry of Commerce Branch, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Branch, General Transport Authority, Al-Ahsa Police, and Security Patrols.” "Traffic Department", which aims to address the situation of heavy equipment and trucks and prevent their parking on roads, main axes and squares in 23 targeted locations. The campaign also witnessed the arrest of 44 suspected cases of commercial concealment, while penalties were applied against violators in accordance with the rules and regulations followed in this regard.
The municipality stated that 5 temporary alternative locations were allocated within the city limits to park heavy equipment and trucks, stressing that the campaign aims to (improve the urban landscape and address visual distortion, maintain public cleanliness, raise compliance rates and licenses, and limit the spread of loose labor and those violating labor regulations).
