The Mayor of Al-Ahsa, Essam bin Abdul Latif Al-Mulla, launched the “We Plant for You” initiative, which aims to plant trees in front of citizens’ homes, after applying for the initiative through the electronic secretariat portal.
The Director of the General Department of Parks and Recreation, Eng. Muhammad Al-Melhem said that this service comes as an extension of the municipality’s efforts towards developing vegetation cover and promoting positive behaviors to preserve the environment and improve the quality of life, as it allows citizens to submit a request to plant trees in front of their homes, and this is implemented according to the approved timetable, indicating that application for the service is done through the designated icon. It is available on the municipality’s electronic portal according to several requirements, including (the ponds must be ready for afforestation (3-5 ponds), specifying the location of the house and attaching a picture of its facade as well as the ponds to be planted and providing tree watering points.
