In conjunction with Cybersecurity Awareness Month (October 2023), Al-Ahsa Municipality, represented by the General Administration of Cybersecurity, is holding the “Safe Space” awareness exhibition, whose activities continue until tomorrow, Wednesday, October 18, in the Hajer Hall at the secretariat’s headquarters. Attendance is available to everyone from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon)
The municipality aims through the exhibition to spread awareness of the dangers of cyberattacks and fraud by holding (an awareness programme, educational sessions, and interactive corners).
The Secretary of Al-Ahsa, M., confirmed: Issam bin Abdul Latif Al-Mulla, after inaugurating the exhibition, stressed the importance of enhancing the awareness and educational aspect of individuals with regard to cybersecurity and protecting systems and programs from digital attacks, especially in light of the rapid developments we are witnessing in our world today, relying to a very large extent on electronic technology in conducting our individual and collective work.
While the Director of the General Department of Cybersecurity, Eng. Badr bin Rafadah said that the exhibition includes 3 main corners (the virtual reality platform, the simulation corner for cyber attacks, and the cyber games platform), in addition to holding educational awareness sessions and 6 practical workshops aimed at raising awareness of the harms and dangers of cyber attacks and ways to prevent them, as well as introducing participants to cyber concepts with the aim of Community awareness, adding that the exhibition includes an incentive competition for attendees to measure their level of awareness and knowledge of the importance of cybersecurity in society.
