The 2024 statistics revealed that the Municipality of Al-Ahsa, represented by the Services Agency, raised 1.1 million tons of waste, with the largest portion being bulky waste, amounting to 688 thousand tons. This was followed by household waste, totaling 445 thousand tons, and commercial waste, which reached approximately 62 thousand tons. Additionally, 384 thousand tons of scattered waste, 25 thousand tons of abattoir waste, and 15 thousand tons of vehicle tires were collected. The statistics also indicated that the municipality addressed 231 thousand instances of visual pollution and processed 17,985 reports received at the Emergency and Complaints Center 940. Regarding general cleanliness efforts, the municipality managed to clean 509 thousand kilometers of roads both mechanically and manually, wash and disinfect 582 thousand cleaning containers, and clean 18,741 linear meters of sidewalks. The municipality emphasized that these efforts are part of the ongoing schedule of comprehensive programs aimed at improving service levels in residential neighborhoods and enhancing community awareness about environmental preservation.
